ResiHub
MERN Stack Community Operations & Workflow System
The Problem & Motivation
Residential societies often rely on fragmented communication, manual visitor sign-in registers, and disorganized paper notices. ResiHub unifies daily community management into a single, cohesive web platform.
ResiHub is a full-stack residential community management web application built to digitize and automate housing society operations. Designed with security and usability at its core, it establishes tailored portals for different user roles, handling everything from payment collections to gate security.
System Architecture & Stack
Built on MVC architecture with a React SPA frontend communicating with an Express/Node.js REST API. Data is modeled in MongoDB using Mongoose with indexing for fast lookups. Authentication is secured using JSON Web Tokens (JWT) and Google OAuth 2.0. Stripe handles financial transactions securely, and Cloudinary manages proof-of-payment and profile assets.
Implemented Capabilities
Obstacle & Resolution
Designing a robust Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) middleware capable of safeguarding endpoints across three distinct user roles with minimal database queries, while handling concurrent state synchronization for gate entries.
What I Learned
Gained deep hands-on expertise in structuring enterprise-grade RBAC, designing third-party webhook listeners (Stripe), and architecting database schemas that scale without excessive joins or document explosion.
